Annually held in December at GASB gym and library.
These events are all about the kids. In the fall, we have an hour long event - 20 minutes of running, 20 minutes of buddy reading, and 20 minutes of an obstacle course. In the Spring, we have an hour long Fun Run. The kids, teachers, and guests run/walk on the back campus for an hour. The student with the the most laps completed gets to pie the Student Council President with a whip cream pie! The child who brings in the most support money gets to treat the principal to a pie in the face!
Every other year the 5th and 6th grade classes attend Camp Winchester in the spring. The kids stay in yurts and are filled with God's presence in the outdoors. During their camp stay, the kids participate in canoeing, fishing, hiking, scavenger hunts, play and pray. The kids learn how to clean fish, cook and eat them! It is truly a time of bonding with their classmates, learning about all that nature has to offer, and retreating in a God filled atmosphere. In 2024, we will be taking grades 5-8 in June for this adventure. The kids collect aluminun cans all year long to fund the trip.
In November, Guardian Angel - St. Boniface school conducts their annual Christmas wreath sale. Wreaths are made by Pat's Garden Center in Clarkston. The parents make and tie beautiful bows on them. Wreaths are sold by the parents and can be ordered through the school email and Facebook page. They are ready for pick up the week of Thanksgiving.
Just in time for the SuperBowl, GASB sells family size pizzas made from Papa Murphys in Moscow. The business gives us a break in the cost of the pizza and it becomes a nice little fundraiser for the school. Pizzas are delicious and delivered the Saturday before the game.
