Summer Yard SaleEach August GASB holds a yard sale during the Uniontown Flea Market. Donations are accepted for the yard sale throughout the year. We will gladly take items (large or small) that are in good condition and working order.
Magazine DriveDuring the month of September, students sell magazines, books, and music CD's through the QSP Reader's Digest fundraising program. GASB receives 40% of revenues generated from this program. Students are rewarded for their selling efforts with "Mag Money," which they can trade in for prizes each week during the magazine drive.
A full array of products are available throughout the year on the QSP Reader's Digest website at http://www.qsp.com/. When creating a new account, use school # 425006582, to ensure GASB is credited with the sales.
Wine and Brew Tasting EventTo help usher in the holiday season, we host a Wine and Brew Tasting evening, usually held late-November or early-December.
Meals Served at Register ShootsFor nine weeks beginning mid-January, we cook and serve breakfast and lunch every Sunday at the Colton Gun Club to feed hungry trap shoot participants and community members looking for a good meal! Steak & Wine Dinner and AuctionOur biggest fundraiser of the year, the Steak and Wine Dinner and Auction takes place of 3rd Saturday in March. Dinner begins at 5:00 p.m., followed by a live auction of unique items donated by area businesses and community members, including special contributions from each classroom at GASB. A casino and fully stocked bar are open the entire evening for those who wish to try their hand at a game of blackjack or just visit with friends.
Camp Winchester Aluminum Can Drive
The 6th graders collect aluminum cans to fund their annual camp out at Winchester Lake Park. Cans can be dropped off at school during the school year, or give us a call if you would like someone to stop by and pick up your cans.
Mardi Gras Carnival
Shrove Tuesday is the date of the annual Mardi Gras Carnival. We originally began the carnival to give families a traditional way to usher in the Lenten season. It has been a popular event for all ages, and recently the 7th and 8th graders took responsibility for hosting it, as a fundraiser for their annual spring retreat.
Donate Used Cartridges and Toners
Continue to leave your used cartridge and toners in the boxes at the back of both churches or at school. Cartridge World generously gives cash to the school for these items.
Albertsons and Safeway Grocery Cards
By affiliating our school code with the Albertsons and Safeway Club cards that you already carry, you can effortlessly raise money for GASB. The store will donate a percentage of each purchase that you make using your card! Call us for details.
